Positive outlook of the industry
3 July 2020
Dear exhibitors of GrindTec,
the press conference for GrindTec 2020, on Thursday, July 2, was supported by positive impulses:
New ifo figures indicate a clear improvement in the business climate for the next six months. In addition, since last week there has been concrete information and advice on the implementation of GrindTec from the Bavarian State Government. There are also positive signals with regard to the restoration of the freedom to travel, and thus for our international exhibitors and visitors.
New ifo figures signal significant improvement for the next six months
During the Corona crisis, the business climate index fell to a historic low of 74.3 points. Current figures of the ifo business climate index and evaluations by Statista are already showing positive trends again: The interviewees from the manufacturing industry are betting on the future and are expecting a clear improvement - which has a decisive effect on the current business climate and sets the course for the GrindTec.
Another positive signal can be heard from the automotive industry: Volkswagen ended short-time working on July 1, and production at the core brand is once again running at full capacity. Production at other car manufacturers and suppliers is also currently being ramped up again.
Current information on entry into the EU from third countries
On Tuesday, June 30, the EU Commission announced a decision to lift restrictions on travel to the EU from 15 different third countries as of July 2, 2020. This decision is a kind of recommendation to the respective EU member states and already indicates that travel restrictions to Germany will be lifted again for many international trade fair visitors. As a result of these relaxations, numerous international exhibitors and visitors will now be able to prepare themselves concretely for their visit to GrindTec 2020.
We wish you good preparation for the trade fair, and will be pleased to answer any questions you may have!
Your GrindTec project team
Dear exhibitors of GrindTec,
the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger announced on 23 June 2020: "The way is clear for the trade fair and congress industry".
We now have the implementation concept for Bavarian trade fairs and it is based, among other things, on the rules of conduct that we have all learned and accepted in the meantime. As the organizer of GrindTec, we ensure the basic prerequisite for this:
- Extended hygiene and good ventilation of the exhibition centre
- The possibility of maintaining distances
- Registration of participants
So what will GrindTec look like and how can guidelines be implemented?
The answers to these and to frequently asked questions can be found in the GrindTec 2020 implementation concept
Due to the already existing high safety and hygiene standards in the Exhibition Centre Augsburg and the expansion in the implementation concept (see above), the course has been set for a safe exhibition experience.
We will be happy to answer any further questions or provide detailed advice.
