GrindTec 2020: New Hall 2 improves Quality of Tour of the Fair considerably / Service offering further expanded
Augsburg – The demand for exhibition space at the leading trade fair for grinding technology is as high as ever - organiser AFAG received almost 450 registrations so far. The GrindTec project management assumes that the number of exhibitors will reach at least the number of last year: 673. One thing is certain: with an exhibition area of 53,000 m², GrindTec 2020 will be the largest so far!
Almost all of the leading machine manufacturers are there already, some of them with significantly larger exhibition space. This has been made possible due to the new exhibition hall 2, which was used for the first time. Several important suppliers took the chance of expanding their presentation and showing their innovations here. In 2020, the major manufacturers will be spread evenly across all the halls of Messe Augsburg for the first time.
Improved access for GrindTec exhibitors
Due to the uninterrupted strong growth of GrindTec, there were waiting times in the entrance areas at the start of the fair when (too) early visitors and exhibitors met. In order to relax this situation, the admission for the exhibiting companies was brought forward by one hour. In 2020, exhibitors will be able to go to their stands from 7 a.m. onwards. This will improve the morning arrival traffic and allow a much more relaxed preparation for the day at the fair.
AFAG expands shuttle bus services
AFAG focuses on expanding the service for exhibitors and visitors. In addition to the existing lines to Munich Airport and Augsburg Main Station, in 2020, a third line will take visitors directly from the central bus station in the centre of Munich to the Augsburg Exhibition Centre. As in 2018, GrindTec visitors arriving by car will park at the nearby WWK Arena and use the free shuttle bus, which takes them to the trade fair centre in about seven minutes.
