" The point is now that organizers, exhibitors and visitors use the again existing possibility responsibly."

As of September 1, trade fairs may once again be held in Bavaria. Trade fairs are an important market platform for the Bavarian economy and make a significant contribution to economic stabilization.

In order to give the industry planning security for this, the Bavarian Cabinet adopted a detailed hygiene concept for trade fair and congress operations as early as 23 June 2020. This took into account all the important framework conditions required for implementation in line with the infection situation.

Now it is a matter of ensuring that organizers, exhibitors and visitors make use of the opportunity - responsibly - that is once again available.

The Augsburg trade fair location is ideally equipped for the implementation of Coronacompatible trade fair concepts. The trade fair organizers have elaborated and proven security concepts with differentiated quality and crisis management, which offer visitors, exhibitors and employees the highest possible level of security.

GrindTec, which has taken place every two years in Augsburg since 1998, is a good example of a steep rise from small insider event to leading international trade fair. It is an excellent platform for companies in the field of grinding and tool technology and presents innovations as well as numerous specialist lectures from research and development.

I wish the City of Augsburg, AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GmbH and the Association of German Precision Tool Grinders that GrindTec will again meet or even exceed all expectations this year.
